Gregor heads the Carbon & Environment Practice.
He has developed policies for multilateral
organisations in Africa including the UN
Environment Programme (UNEP), NEPAD, the UN
Economic Commission for Africa and the Africa
Partnership Forum and advised South African
businesses on green marketing strategies.
Gregor has also developed and managed events
and advocacy strategies for clients such as
the Common Market for Eastern and Southern
Africa (COMESA). He has presented on carbon finance in Africa at several international conferences and is regularly consulted by the media. Before joining africapractice, he worked at UNEP’s Department for Policy Development and Law in Nairobi, Kenya and the Association of African Universities in Accra, Ghana.
Gregor holds an MA International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Bremen, Germany. He also studied at the University of To-ronto and the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris and received several scholarships from the German Na-tional Academic Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service and the Carlo Schmid Programme.
