Tony Sheldon

Finance Director

Tony is a Chartered Company Secretary and Company Accountant who has established and administered overseas operations in Africa and the Far East. Tony has acted as an advisor and financial controller for companies with operations continent wide, setting up control of banking, legal, accounting and company secretarial functions, incorporation and management of companies. He has advised on the installation of financial reporting systems and company law and practice.

He has previously held the role of finance director at Mitchell Cotts (Uganda) Ltd where he was responsible for the financial and administrative functions of a group of tea and agriculture estates and commercial properties, the administration and financial control of a £5million World Bank rehabilitation loan and liaison with governments.

Prior to that Tony held a similar post with Anglo American/Charter Consolidation Ltd/GEC Transport Projects Ltd where he was responsible for international mining projects and preparation and evaluation of overseas contract tenders. He was seconded to Malaysia for 4 years as Assistant Secretary of a group of tin mines, with responsibility for installation of financial and administrative reporting systems for individual operating companies and cost centres.

As a Chartered Company Secretary Tony has extensive experience in structuring and administering operations for offshore companies.
