Ali is public relations professional with
more than ten years' experience in the
UK and US, specialising on the technology
and telecoms sectors. She has run
corporate communications and brand
building programmes for Autonomy, Sage
and Gallup, and strategic media relations
campaigns for BT Group Chief Technology
Office, Messagelabs and Hummingbird. Her
consumer brand experience includes Yahoo!,
Samsung and PriceGrabber, and she has
co-ordinated international programmes for Cisco
Emerging Markets, Openwave and Fujitsu. Ali also
led pro bono work for Peace One Day, building
awareness for the organisation's campaign
to create a single global day of peace.
Before joining africapractice Ali was at Bite Communications, and prior to that at LEWIS PR, where she won the IPR Young Communicator of the Year award. She graduated from St. Catharine's College, Cambridge University with a degree in social anthropology. Ali also sits on the board of trustees for Missionfish, ebay's partner for its ebay for charity programme.
