Our people have joined africapractice from a variety of disciplines. We are politicians, analysts, project managers, journalists, diplomats, public relations professionals and economists. All of us are trained communicators and all of us have analytical minds.

 

 

 

 

Dr Alhaji Bamanga Tukur

Dr (Alhaji) Bamanga Tukur is the President of africapractice. His involvement with the company dates back to 2003 when Marcus and he were each providing support to Professor Nkuhlu at the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD).

During a career that now spans more than four decades Dr Tukur has served in both government and industry. From 1975 to 1982, he served as Chief Executive of the Nigerian Ports Authority. In 1983, he was elected civilian Governor of Gongola State (now Adamawa State). From 1993 to 1995, he served as a member of the Federal Executive Council and Minister of Industry of Nigeria.

Dr Tukur has served as a member of the UNIDO International Business Advisory Council and the Ghana Investors Advisory Council and the OECD Africa Investment Advisory Board. He was elected Chairman of the NEPAD Business Group in March 2002. He is Honorary Life President of the west and central Africa Ports Management Association.

Dr Tukur was awarded the National Honour of the Commander of the Order of the Mono (COM), and the National Honour of the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) in recognition of his contribution to business in Africa. He holds the traditional title of Tafidan Adamawa in Adamawa State. He is the founder and chairman of BHI holdings (DADDO group of companies) and he has served as Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria. Dr Tukur has an M.Sc from the University of Pittsburg.
