Our people have joined africapractice from a variety of disciplines. We are politicians, analysts, project managers, journalists, diplomats, public relations professionals and economists. All of us are trained communicators and all of us have analytical minds.

 

 

 

 

Michael Kayser

Michael is a Director of africapractice group. He began his career at Unilever, during which time he worked in the UK, Holland, Japan, Tanzania, Zambia and Colombia. He subsequently worked  at Accenture, then with Midland Montagu Investment Banking before moving to work with Guinness in the wake of the Saunders scandal to help rebuild the finance function. During his 9 years there, his roles included; Group Financial Controller, Finance & Commercial Director for International Operations, Business Development Director and Finance Director for Guinness Brewing Worldwide.

In 1996 he joined Laporte plc as Group Finance Director and other finance director roles followed at Doncaster Group, Amey , Lloyd’s Register and Premium Aircraft Interiors Group.

He served as a non-executive director and audit committee chair of Stobart Group, Biome Technologies plc and Transport Systems Catapult Limited. He was also co-owner of Malachite Advisors Limited, a consultancy business specialising in advising first world companies on investment strategies for entering developing markets, particularly in Africa.
