CIDA

The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) is Canada’s lead agency for development assistance. It has a mandate to support sustainable development in developing countries in order to reduce poverty. CIDA has been operating in Africa since 1968 and currently operates in Sub-Saharan Africa, East Asia & the Pacific, South Asia, Europe & Central Asia, Latin America & the Caribbean, Middle East & North Africa. Of its $2.782bn annual budget, 46.74% is spent in Africa.
