As one of the world’s largest banks, Barclays has a global reach. It operates in countries around the world and 13 in Africa including Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Angola and Botswana. Barclays employs 127,000 people global and has an annual revenue of $22 billion. Barclays recently acquired South Africa’s ABSA, and is expanding a successful microfinance programme initially launched for Ghana’s susu collectors using mobile technology.
