The role

We are looking for a Finance Manager Assistant  to be responsible for the provision of an expert financial management service to the business in line with our corporate objectives & to  support the Finance Director in decision making to ensure company growth and profitability


  • Manage complex intercompany transactions
  • Manage client billing, invoices and credit control, VAT refunds and staff expenses
  • Provide and interpret financial information; analyse change and advise accordingly
  • Assist in preparing yearly budgeting and cash flow forecasts
  • Liaise with external service providers and act as the link between them and the organization
  • Have oversight of all financial reports and forecasting; regular communication, sharing information and collaboration with colleagues across the group
  • Monitor and analyse cash flows; produce accurate financial reports within specific deadlines
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out

Skills and Experience

  • Qualification and Experience as an accountant
  • Tax and VAT experience across multiple geographies
  • Experience working in/with African countries and African currencies
  • Significant financial management experience at a mid to senior level
  • Experience managing regular timely production of accurate financial reports
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, thoroughness and proactivity

Specific skills: highly desirable

  • Strategic thinker
  • Financial analysis and forecasting ability
  • Complex financial modelling skills
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Ability to develop and communicate a clear financial strategy, with goals for the short and medium term
  • Ability to manage budgets and to assess the financial implications of any decisions
  • Ability to present highly complex financial and non-financial information
